I recently shared an opinion piece on my business site and thought I also need to share some further thoughts on South Africa.
Recently I have witnessed a lot of innovation coming from members of previously disadvantaged community.
There is a freedom of expression coming through the people. Creative. Innovative. Inspiring.
These observations tell me that South Africa is on the right track. Empowerment is gradually entering the communities.
There are obviously ways to increase this rate, which government seems to be deliberately delaying.
The people are rising above it. Rising above the failures of government and reaching for higher ground.
It is great.
Ramaphosa brings a new hope. At this stage there is an assumption that his hands are tied until 2019 elections.
Hopefully, once the elections take place, he can put in place ways to curb the abuses of corruption.
We hope he rises up. That he steps forward.
Especially in a time where people have lost confidence in politicians and their empty promises.
