This is Us

The Rennison Clan

This image captures one of the happiest days of life.

A family gathering in December 2009. Good old December summer holidays in the Cape.

My uncle (far right) was in SA, which rarely occurs. He has been relocating between AUS and USA with his family. USA to AUS and back to USA now.

My gran, Gwendolene Rennison, in the middle.

We stood around her, as the remaining male lines. Left to survive and follow the heritage.

What this photo doesn’t show is the fact that my now wife was standing in the background. On her third date with me. Thrown into the deep end – “meet the family”.

Definitely one of the happiest days of my life.

Before AI, After AI

A reflection by Ryan Rennison

This site is a time capsule. What you’ll read here comes from a different version of me — the pre-AI Ryan.

Back then, I wrote with no polish, no direction, no filter. Posts were chaotic brain dumps, half-formed processes, and internal notes that barely made sense to anyone else. Looking at it now, it’s messy. But it’s also honest.

That rawness matters. It shows where I started.

Pre-AI Ryan (The Chaos Phase)

  • Cowboy coding solutions without structure.

  • Thoughts scattered across posts with no clear audience.

  • Energy everywhere, focus nowhere.

  • Writing as therapy, not strategy.

It was survival mode. Words on a page to make sense of what I was trying to build.

Post-AI Ryan (The Systems Phase)

Then I met AI — and it didn’t replace me. It multiplied me.

  • From raw thoughts → structured frameworks.

  • From scattered notes → working systems like MUCS and Client Fusion.

  • From “directionless” → multiple brands, funnels, and campaigns with clear intent.

  • From documenting chaos → designing order.

AI became my sounding board, strategist, and late-night co-pilot. What you see today — Move Up 3.0, webinars for UK employers, passport index projects, and whole new ventures — exists because I stopped building alone.

Why This Site Still Matters

Rennison.co.za isn’t here to impress. It’s here to remind me where I came from.

This is the before and after story. The proof that growth is possible. The reminder that even messy, directionless notes have value — because they’re stepping stones to something bigger.

So if you stumble through these old posts, don’t expect polish. Expect evolution.

Because this isn’t just a blog. It’s a record of how far I’ve come.
