Never a dull moment.
Just this last week I have gone through a rollercoaster of thoughts.
Initially I found myself questioning consequences of corruption. More specifically those who have been caught and the punishments (or lack thereof). I raised this question innocently on Twitter (to no avail).
Only to then see, a day later, posts about those being caught and penalized.
Why now I asked myself? Is it a coincidence?
I then see the news reveal that the court has ruled that JZ will not have the public funding his legal fees (of approx. R30m). Announced yesterday.
I also noted that Ramaphosa is positioning himself in public debate (702 radio) to discuss peoples needs. I really respect him for engaging like he does.
Only today to see that the ANC has announced that they will cover JZ legal fees.
One step forward. Two steps back.
So frustrating.
I know Ramaphosa has so much potential. Is he going to take South Africa forward or is Helen Zille right in saying that he is a puppet of JZ?
Only time will tell. 2019 elections here we come.
