2019 is definitely the year of musician movies.

Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star is Born and now Rocketman.

Each movie shows the background of how successful musicians have had to struggle and fight before they launch and make it big.

Its inspiring and also humbling.

Freddy and Elton had their struggles.

One of my dreams is to create/produce my own piece/collection of music.

Inspired. That I am.

It is interesting to note that the common denominator is a struggle.

Artists that dont have a struggle rarely get the required desire/need to fight in order to be heard or seen.

When you get the desire to fight, the right desire that is, you also need to be able to deliver.

Some fight for attention but fail to deliver performances that are remarkable.

I think the formula for a successful artist looks like this:

Practice (and perfect their skillset) + struggle (to grow the need to fight for attention) = opportunity for greatness.

Take out any of these elements and any opportunity experienced might not be as great.
